fyi, everyone – yes, the ‘on’ position is wit the button toward the front of the laptop, to where the red is no longer visible – ALSO – if you toggle this off then on, it seems like wireless connectivity will NOt automaticcally be restored -
here is how to get the software part going, once you have the hardware (button) correct:
at least for Win7:
control panel > network and internet > newtowrk connections> “wireless network connecitons” >
here, it ought to indicate that you are not connected, if that is the case. So, you select “connect”

-this should get the wireless activated to seeking a signal. -hope this helps someone someday.

Same here. I have never used it as a USB, where I just didn’t see it fitting into the port.

Rebooted, reset sys, searched system for radio switch. Used iPad to search web. Found this!

After 24 hrs back on Internet, living in cloud.
